BloomKeeper Controls: Nudge, Grab and Throw, and Roll
Understand the Guardian’s three documented actions and the patch fixes affecting control labels and controller detection.
What each action does
The developer describes three Guardian abilities:
| Action | Documented purpose | A sensible practice task |
|---|---|---|
| Nudge | Guide Pouics toward a direction | Use a small group and observe where it moves |
| Grab & Throw | Help a Pouic reach somewhere beyond an obstacle | Check the landing area before trying it |
| Roll | Travel across Hedera faster | Look ahead for creatures crossing your path |
The practice column is editorial advice, not a claim that we measured a particular distance or input window. BloomKeeper uses guidance of creatures rather than a promise that every Pouic will follow a selected destination like a conventional unit command.
Check the menu in your installed version
Hotfix 1.0.1 corrected the ordering of the Nudge and Grab/Throw entries in the controls menu. Hotfix 1.0.3 addressed PS4/PS5 and Xbox controller detection. These are PC controller fixes, not announcements of console editions.
If an old screenshot conflicts with your prompts, compare the installed version first. Then check the in-game controls menu and the device you are using. We have not verified a universal keyboard or controller-button mapping, so this page does not assign guessed keys.
Put the actions together
Practice one action before combining it with fast movement or a large colony. Once it behaves as expected, return to the walkthrough decision path. If a controller is not detected, record its model, connection method and game version when reporting the problem; a detection fix in a patch is not a guarantee for every device.
